Music as a nursing intervention, not as crazy as it sounds

Considering our work conditions in this day and age, to discuss music as a nursing intervention may seem extravagant. Indeed, because of a severe lack of personnel which renders our work more difficult, we are going through a trying period at this moment. With the acceleration of our tasks in addition to mandatory overtime, nurses unfortunately feel that they are obliged to focus almost solely on interventions of a medical nature. Alas, they too often put aside those deeds which could bring comfort, reassurance and hope to their patients.
